I have tried a few recipes to make bread and let me tell you, the few I have tried has gone to the trash before the first bite. Its hard to find the right recipe to make bread especially low carb, keto and gluten free.

This one is really good and one of many I will be making. Its so good that when I made this , I had to make another one the next day. My husband loved it and I really think you will too.

Yummy bread that will go great a side for your eggs, soup or stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour

  • 4 large eggs, separated

  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 tablespoons sweetener

  • 1 pkg. rapid rise yeast

  • 1/2 tablespoon psyllium husk powder

  • 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar

Directions

  • Preheat oven 375 degrees
  • Separate the eggs whites from yolks into two different bowl
  • In a small cup add yeast, sugar and vinegar. Let it sit for 5 minutes
  • The bowl with the egg whites, add cream of tartar and whisk until peaks are formed
  • The bowl with yolks, whisk it till fluffy then add rest of the ingredients and the yeast mixture. Mix well
  • Pour slowly the egg whites and mix until well incorporated
  • Prepare loaf pan with oil and add parchment in the bottom of the pan
  • Pour mixture and bake for 30 minutes
  • Let it cool for 20 minutes before serving

Notes

  • To make this dairy free substitute the butter with ghee or dairy free butter
