This Taco Seasoning is so easy to make in less than 5 minutes with spices you probably have on hand. It’s the best DIY recipe to use for tacos, burritos, dips and more!

This homemade taco seasoning is absolutely perfect to use for our taco nights and burrito bowls.  You can even use it to season chicken or fish or to spice up a roasted vegetable.

Believe me, once you make this recipe you will never go back to buying the packets.

What you need to make the Taco Seasoning

  • Chili powder
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Cayenne powder
  • Corn starch or xanthan gum

2 tablespoons of the taco seasoning for 1 lb. of ground meat, chicken, fish or shrimp with 1/2 cup of water.

HOW TO MAKE

This is so quick and easy to make. All you need to do is measure out your spices into either a jar with a lid (this is what I like to do) or into a bowl. Mix it all together and you have taco seasoning.

  • 3 ½ tablespoons paprika

  • 2 tablespoons cumin

  • 1 ½ tablespoons onion powder

  • 1 ½ tablespoons garlic powder

  • 2 teaspoons cayenne powder

  • 1 tablespoon corn starch or xanthan gum

Directions
