What is it made of?

A combination of amazing spices like

  • Chili Powder
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Paprika
  • Black Pepper
  • Coriander Powder
  • Cumin Powder
  • Cayenne Pepper Powder
  • Oregano
  • Salt

It is all about the right spices and in perfect proportion. The best part of this seasoning is that you can make a huge batch and store whatever you need instead of having to make a batch every time. The shelf life is one month in a cool place or you can put in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Chicken taco seasoning is so much better than any store bought ones. A few pantry staples and you’re on your way to delicious chicken tacos, burritos, taquitos, bowls and salads.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch or xanthan gum

Directions

  • Stir all the ingredients together except the xanthan gum or cornstarch
  • Put mixture in a sealed jar or plastic container until to be used
  • Add the 1 teaspoon of cornstarch or xanthan gum with the ingredients before adding to the chicken.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water and stir till it thickens

Notes

  • This measurement of seasoning is perfect for 1 pound of ground chicken or 3 cups of shredded chicken
